This is a good question. The involvement of women is ever so important in our community lives. We cannot afford to isolate them or for them to not take part.
I feel, we must try and involve them more - not only with things such as voting but in actually making decisions at every level.
It is sometimes easy to talk and a lot more difficult to show actions. At CoEJ I made sure that the new constitution which we have just adopted gave a greater chance for women to be represented. I want The World Federation to now lead by example. That's why you will see that I have committed to at least 2 female executive councillors (if not more inshAllah). The President only gets to select 5 councillors, so you can see that this is a serious commitment on my part.
