The World Federation’s work in the areas of relief and economic upliftment are praiseworthy, and around the world this organisation is known for its hard work in helping those in need. There is always room for improvement.
We need to react quicker to situations of crisis and utilise the NGO status in doing so. We need to move away from only giving handouts to focusing on creating long term self sufficiency. This will allow people to lift themselves
out of economic hardship, with dignity and respect.
Obtaining the NGO status is an achievement and I want to ensure that this status is utilised so that we can serve our community and humanity to the best of our ability.

- • Implement greater systems of microfinance and income generation.
- • Ensure housing and Shahriyya is focused and effective.
- • Establish partnerships with other NGOs to gain funding and knowledge
- • Form a rapid response team to respond to crises much faster.
- • Create a straightforward dialogue with our members so they are fully aware of the benefits of the NGO status.
- • Research and invest in housing schemes for our seniors.
- • Use the NGO status to lobby governments and UN institutions politically.
